Yunfeng town's plum harvest: Green hills bear golden fruit
Yunfeng town, located in Cangxi county, Guangyuan, Sichuan province, is currently experiencing a bountiful harvest. More than 500 mu (33 hectares) of "Tuo Gu Li" (stone-free plums) have reached maturity, painting a vibrant picture of prosperity in the orchards.

Farmers are spending the sunny days picking, sorting, and shipping the fruit, with some 60 locals earning steady incomes through daily work here.
What were once barren slopes now thrive under a local cooperative established in 2016, yielding plums celebrated for their juiciness, sweetness, and small pits.
Equipped with a 350-metric-ton cold storage facility , the cooperative dispatches over 10 tons of fruit daily via cold chain to major cities nationwide. It aims to ship 150 tons this year, with expected revenue exceeding 1.5 million yuan ($208,000).
Local "village livestreamers" boost sales, showcasing fresh-picked plums to online audiences. Their lively demonstrations - highlighting the fruit's freshness and flavor - have driven robust demand, with over 1 ton sold in a one-hour live broadcast.
Yunfeng's fruit industry, with 18,000 mu (1200 hectares) of diverse crops, generates an annual output value of 80 million yuan. With plans to boost quality, expand markets, and integrate with tourism, the town is nurturing its fruits into engines of rural vitalization, making "fruity Yunfeng" a symbol of prosperity.
