The plantation in Xiaojian village, Jiange county, Guangyuan, Sichuan province is welcoming a bountiful harvest. The lush bushes are laden with plump, jewel-like berries, attracting a steady stream of tourists eager to experience the joy of picking and enjoy the countryside charm.

According to Zhao Yumin, head of the plantation, this year's favorable climate has led to a 20 percent increase in yield compared to previous years, with the picking season expected to last through the end of July. The farm cultivates high-quality blueberry varieties under green management practices, making them popular on the market.

"We use organic fertilizers and rely on manual weeding to ensure the best quality. This year, we're seeing a peak production period, and we anticipate a total yield of around 40 tons," said Zhao. "Since opening to the public, we've been welcoming over 200 visitors daily, and reservations are required on weekends."

The plantation operates under a "company + cooperative + farmers" model, forming an integrated industry chain that includes cultivation, picking, and eco-tourism. Going forward, the base plans to further integrate resources and strengthen brand influence to maximize the value of its products.

It plans to develop deep-processed blueberry products so that visitors can enjoy the flavor year-round. "We're also working to establish partnerships with local supermarkets and fruit stores to boost our brand visibility," Zhao added.
