The freshly picked cherries are known for their juicy, sweet-tart flavor, making them a seasonal favorite among locals and tourists alike.

But the region is offering more than just fruit picking. From homemade cherry wine to jams and fizzy drinks, local producers are crafting ways to preserve the fruit's original taste while introducing unique textures and flavors.

Here's how cherry lovers can explore some innovative and tasty creations:

Cherry wine

Ingredients: Fresh cherries, white liquor, rock sugar

How to make: Layer cleaned cherries and rock sugar alternately in a glass container. Pour in white liquor until the fruit is fully submerged. Seal the container and store it in a cool, dry place. After one month, enjoy the rich, fruity aroma of homemade cherry wine.

Cherry jam

Ingredients: Fresh cherries, rock sugar

How to make: Remove the stems from cleaned cherries using chopsticks, then add them to a pot with rock sugar. Simmer over low heat while stirring, until the fruit softens and the mixture thickens into a jam. This sweet and tangy spread is perfect with toast or pastries.

Cherry sparkling drink

Ingredients: Fresh cherries, lemon-lime soda, ice

How to make: Add cleaned cherries and ice cubes to a glass, then pour in lemon-lime soda. The result is a refreshing, fruit-infused beverage ideal for a sunny afternoon.
