Zengjia Mountain Ski Resort opens for winter fun

The eagerly awaited Zengjia Mountain Ski Resort in Guangyuan, Sichuan province opened to the public on Dec 28, welcoming nearly 1,500 visitors who reveled in winter sports amid the snowy landscapes.
Zhang Hong, a tourist from the nearby Gansu province, traveled with three friends to experience the slopes. "I've seen Zengjia Mountain Ski Resort mentioned online many times, and today, I finally made it here," Zhang said.
With guidance from her friends, Zhang quickly learned to ski on two boards. While her moves weren't perfect, she managed to complete the beginner's slope successfully. "Skiing isn't as hard as I thought, and it's way more fun than I expected! We'll definitely come back," she said.
Another visitor, Liu Qing, a skiing enthusiast, enjoyed the slopes with his companions. "I came here last year, and I'm back again," Liu said. "The experience is fantastic—definitely worth visiting."
This year, the resort introduced night skiing, adding new excitement for visitors. "The night skiing session runs from 5:00 pm to 9:00 pm, with special activities like a disco party and a fireworks show from 7:00 pm to 8:00 pm," explained Meng Lingling, a spokesperson for the ski resort. The night skiing events will continue throughout the ski season until the resort closes.
Until January 12, all police officers, auxiliary police, firefighters, and their families can enjoy free skiing at the resort by presenting valid identification.
Zengjia Mountain Ski Resort features a snow play area of more than 30,000 square meters and a total artificial snow coverage exceeding 100,000 square meters. The resort includes beginner and intermediate ski slopes, as well as various recreational activities such as snowmobiles, snow rafts, and snow tubing.
