Qingchuan Basketball Park in Guangyuan city, Sichuan province was packed to capacity for the opening of the 2023-2024 Qingchuan 3x3 Basketball Championship Finals on Oct 12.

After an exciting opening performance, the 13 participating teams made their grand entrance, while a synchronized drone show illuminated the venue, adding to the festive atmosphere.

Since the tournament began last October, the 3x3 basketball competition has attracted 2,310 teams from cities across China, including Shanghai, Chongqing and Chengdu. A total of 7,392 matches have been played, with players from the Bahamas, Croatia, Serbia Spain and the United States among those competing.

The winning team will take home a prize of 500,000 yuan ($70,292.5).

The event showcases Qingchuan as a hub for basketball enthusiasts, attracting talent both domestically and internationally, and adding a vibrant sports culture to the local community.
