Train Y338, carrying more than 700 members of a silver-haired travel group, arrived at Guangyuan Station in Sichuan province on Sept 18.

The city's cultural and tourism department organized a welcoming ceremony for the visitors from Anhui and Zhejiang provinces at the station square. The following day, the group enjoyed a delightful outing at scenic spots including Jianmen Pass, Cuiyun Corridor and Zhaohua ancient town.

This was the first large tourism group to come to the city since this year's Chinese (Guangyuan) Girls' Festival. The majority of participants were aged 60 and above.

In recent years, Guangyuan has been promoting its rich traditional culture and making significant strides in wellness tourism, consistently ranking among the top 20 cities in China for sustainable development in this sector.
