The Shuimogou Scenic Area in Chaotian district, Guangyuan, Sichuan province hosted a captivating Journey to the West-themed costume flash mob performance on July 31, delighting tourists with a vibrant experience.
Journey to the West, one of China's most famous literary classics, follows the adventures of a Tang Dynasty (618-907) monk and his 3 disciples during their quest to obtain Buddhist scriptures.
In an effort to elevate the appeal of its summer tourism brand, Shuimogou Scenic Area has planned a series of activities, which include folk singing, bamboo rafting and bonfire parties.

The area, recognized as a provincial-level natural reserve and a national AAAA-level tourist attraction, boasts a diverse natural landscape comprising forests, canyons, mountain meadows, waterfalls, streams, exotic flowers and rare animals.
This ecological haven features a forest coverage rate of 82 percent, and enjoys a pleasant climate, with an average annual temperature of 12°C and a summer average of 23°C.
Currently, the scenic area offers well-developed boutique tourist routes leading to the Mawei Waterfall, the Feicui Gorge and the Qinba Meadow, which are perfect for hiking. These routes have established Shuimogou as a premier destination for both nature lovers and adventure seekers.
