More than 500 visitors from around China took high-speed trains to the Yueba tourist resort in Lizhou district, Guangyuan, Sichuan province on July 28, where they were treated to a vibrant cultural program and local culinary cuisine that included fire-baked steamed buns.

The visitors were delighted with the reception they received in Yueba, with one traveler, Yao Xiaokui, saying, "The food is so delicious and unique.

"We come from all over the country and are thrilled to enjoy such authentic and tasty farm dishes."

The festivities continued as dusk fell in Yueba, with the highlight of the night being the first live performance of a new song, Meet Guangyuan.

The song, written from a tourist's perspective, encourages more people to visit Guangyuan by high-speed rail, explore the city's beauty and ultimately fall in love with the place. As the song debuted in Yueba, the audience sang along to the chorus, "Meet Guangyuan, the first sight is forever".

According to local culture and tourism authorities, until May 31 next year, excluding short holidays, all passengers who travel to Guangyuan by high-speed rail can enjoy a 30 percent discount on tickets at all national A-level tourist attractions in the city.

To avail of this discount, passengers must present their ID cards and high-speed rail tickets when purchasing tickets on-site within one week of their arrival.

Since the launch of the policy, Guangyuan has hosted 25 tour groups, while, so far, a total of 14,372 tourists have availed of the discount deal.
