Guangyuan rolls out Spring Festival tourism fun
Guangyuan in Southwest China's Sichuan province, the hometown of Empress Wuzetian of the Tang Dynasty (618-907), released five boutique tourism routes to capture the hearts of tourists this Spring Festival.
They feature skiing, hiking, self-driving and museum elements, and cover popular tourist sites across the city.
Guangyuan will also host a series of winter sports, celebrations, and fun events to upgrade holiday consumption, according to local authorities.
The Baicaoyuan Lantern Show themed on the Chinese zodiac of the Long, blossoms and Empress Wu is set to run from Feb 2 to 25 in Heishipo Park, where visitors can enjoy a diverse collection of lanterns using "9-D virtual-reality" technology, complementing the beautiful water landscapes.

Route 4: Micangshan Nature Reserve, Bailong Lake Scenic Area, Qingxi Ancient Town, Tangjiahe Nature Reserve, Qifeng Lake, Guangyuan Museum
Route 5: Yueba village, Zhangjia village, Yinping village, Qifeng Gorge Scenic Area, Zhaohua Medicine Expo Park, Fragrant Nanshan Mountain
