Shanghai Happy Valley Gleetour Hotel is a four-star Spanish-style hotel, adjacent to Shanghai Happy Valley and Playa Maya Water Park.
The hotel is located inside Shanghai Sheshan National Tourist Resort in Shanghai's Songjiang district.
It is 35,000 square meters in size and contains 293 guest rooms and suites on four floors that depict different periods in Spanish history.
With in-house restaurants serving delicious paella, tapas, and fine Rioja, the hotel provides guests with an authentic experience of Spanish culture, based on the elegant Islamic-influenced architecture of southern Spain.
The hotel has five gardens, each themed after one of Spain's five distinct regions, including Andalusia, Valencia, and La Mancha. Guests will feel as if they are in a fairy tale world as they enter the hotel, which features a historic castle, exotic gardens, and a unique atmosphere.
Two times a day, hotel guests will have free admission to Shanghai Happy Valley and Playa Maya Water Park. Visitors can ride gigantic roller coasters and slide into the water like jet skis throughout the day, or simply blend in with the party crowd and dance to the music.
After a feast of quality Spanish cuisine such as preserved pork chops, stewed fish, egg dumplings, and beef with sour soup, guests can witness eye-catching shows put on by artists from Eastern Europe and South America at night.
The hotel is an excellent alternative for family vacations and relaxation. Its parent-child theme rooms mix popular cartoon characters with kid-friendly themes. The hotel also features a large lawn with playground equipment and hosts interactive activities such as family football games, cultural studies, and parent-child pottery classes on a regular basis. Guests may view the top of the amusement park equipment at Shanghai Happy Valley and Playa Maya Water Park from the rooms' balconies.
Shanghai Hongqiao International Airport and Shanghai Hongqiao Railway Station are both 15 kilometers away from the hotel. Songjiang's famous scenic spots and business districts are both within walking distance. Sheshan Mountain, Moon Lake, Chenshan Botanical Garden, and Thames Town are all within 20 minutes by car.
