Shanghai Happy Valley is holding its annual Halloween carnival, which will last until Nov 14, to give visitors thrills and chills this Halloween season.

One of the highlights of this year's carnival is jubensha, or live action role-playing games, in which participants are tasked with trying to solve a mystery that is set in Happy Valley.

Happy Valley has changed decorations for the Halloween masquerade carnival, which is filled with ghosts and goblins. There will be haunted houses and NPC, or non-player characters, who will interact with the players, making the game truly immersive.

The carnival also features parades, horror performances, and music parties with idols that will be held on Oct 22 and 23.

The amusement park has also prepared dolls, pumpkin play areas, parent-child cartoon musicals, as well as trick or treat games for families with children.

Shanghai Happy Valley is a 4A-level tourist attraction located within the Shanghai Sheshan National Tourist Resort. Covering an area of 650,000 square meters, it is divided into seven themed zones and houses a variety of entertainment facilities.
