The Shanghai Sheshan National Tourist Resort received 763,700 tourists during the Mid-Autumn Festival and National Day holiday from Oct 1 to 8.
Statistics released by the municipal culture and tourism bureau showed that the resort was among the most popular tourist destinations during the holiday.
The Shanghai Chenshan Botanical Garden at the resort received 118,700 tourists, a year-on-year increase of 15 percent. The garden held an international orchid show to attract visitors during the holiday.
