Visit Sheshan resort at half price during Shanghai Tourism Festival

Several popular attractions at the Shanghai Sheshan National Tourist Resort have announced that they will halve ticket prices during the 2020 Shanghai Tourism Festival from Sept 12 to 27.

Here is a guide to the attractions and details about their special offers.

Shanghai Chenshan Botanical Garden

Address: No 3888 Chenhua Road, Songjiang district

Tickets (half price): 30 yuan, for people over 65

Shanghai Chenshan Botanical Garden is a comprehensive botanical garden that focuses on scientific research, science education, and sightseeing. It covers an area of about 207 hectares and consists of four areas: the central exhibition area, the plant conservation area, the five-continent plant area, and the outer buffer zone.

Shanghai Happy Valley

Address: No 888 Linhu Road, Songjiang district

Tickets (half price): 115 yuan

Shanghai Happy Valley is an amusement park that's not only for kids. With more than 100 amusement facilities and performances, it offers something for people of all ages. It features areas designed in a variety of styles, including the old Shanghai style from the 1930s, the gold rush of the western United States in the 19th century, and a romantic style on the ocean.

Shanghai Sculpture Park

Address: No 1158 Linyin New Road, Songjiang district

Tickets (half price): 50 yuan

Shanghai Sculpture Park is built around a lake and is known for its natural scenery and modern landscape art.

The Wonderland Area

Address: No 5898 Chenhua Road, Songjiang District

Tickets (half price): 60 yuan, free of charge for children under 1.1 meters

The Wonderland Area is a theme park located in the Shanghai Shimao Dream City. A 90-meter glass plank road in the park is the first glass bridge ever to be built on the edge of a cliff in Shanghai. Visitors are treated to a panoramic view overlooking a waterfall contrasting with the blue sky.

Travel tips: Some of the above attractions may be crowded due to the discount, so there may be long queues at the ticket counter. Visitors are encouraged to travel during non-peak hours.
