Songjiang greets 355,000 visitors over Labor Day

Songjiang, a district in Shanghai, welcomed more than 355,000 visitors and generated 10.99 million yuan ($1.55 million) in tourism over the Labor Day holiday, local media reported.

Dazzling activities were held in the district to entertain visitors, including a shopping festival, a food festival, online reading, flower shows at Shanghai Fangta Park and Shanghai Zuibaichi Park, and the second ComicPlus Garden Party at Shanghai Happy Valley.

Rural tourism was a favorite for visitors in Songjiang, with the Yexie rural homestay the most popular. Yexie amused its visitors with rice-made banquets, rice cake making, forest exploration, barbecues and afternoon teas in the forest, which brought in more than 80,000 yuan in business volume and attracted 339 customers during the five-day holiday.
