The Chenshan Botanical Garden announced that it will solicit submissions of essays and videos in celebration of its 10th anniversary.
The essays should revolve around the anniversary and highlight the garden's unique characteristics.
There are no restrictions on the essay’s length or format, but prose is recommended.
Submissions should be in PDF format and sent before May 31. They should be affixed with the author's personal information such as name, telephone number, and ID number.
A total of six winners will be selected to receive awards ranging from 500 yuan ($72.4) to 1,000 yuan.
Meanwhile, video submissions should be themed around the garden’s spring views.
The video should also be in 1080p, be less than a minute in length, and have no watermarks or captions.
Video submissions should be sent before May 31.
The six top videos will receive awards of between 1,000 and 3,000 yuan.
The Chenshan Botanical Garden is great for horticulture lovers. It is located in Sheshan National Tourism Resort and opened to the public on April 26, 2010. It covers an area of 207 hectares.
The garden boasts a wide array of plants native to East China and is currently home to approximately 10,000 plant species, including some rare and endangered species.
Visitors are now required to register their personal information and book tickets in advance via the garden's WeChat account: csnbgsh.
