An archaeological site exhibition hall is currently under construction in Guangfulin Cultural Relics Park.

The exhibition hall, which is in the shape of a pot half buried in the ground, will showcase the discovery process of the Guangfulin Relics and emphasize their historical value.

It will cover an area of 7,788 square meters and have a floor space of 2,960 square meters, divided into four parts.

The facility is scheduled to open to visitors later this year.

Guangfulin Cultural Relics Park, where relics of an ancient culture dating back to the Neolithic Age have been unearthed, is a must-visit scenic attraction in the Shanghai Sheshan National Tourist Resort.

The park, dubbed the "Root of Shanghai", imitates the city's ancient way of life and offers ample evidence of ancient inhabitants living in Shanghai 5,000 years ago.

Visitors can purchase annual passes for the park, which removes restrictions on visiting times.

The pass is priced at 120 yuan ($17.3) per person, while the cost for an annual family pass is 240 yuan.

The family pass will grant entry rights to two adults and two children less than 1.4 meters tall.
