A flower expo showcasing a tranquil world of water lilies has kicked off at Chenshan Botanical Garden and will run until Sept 18.

More than 300 species of water lilies are on display, including 20 rare species that have never been seen at Chenshan Botanical Garden.

The expo consists of seven themed areas with different collections of water lilies decorating the garden's unique landscapes.

Water lilies are exhibited under a sci-fi theme with elements from the popular US TV series Under the Dome, as well as Chinese blockbuster film The Wandering Earth. The creative design is to remind visitors that pollution has put many plants on the verge of extinction. [Photo/WeChat ID: sheshanlvyou]
