As autumn approaches, nature lovers can head to Shanghai Sheshan National Tourist Resort to enjoy the beautiful natural scenery.

Shanghai Sheshan National Tourist Resort is located in Songjiang district, in the southwest of Shanghai. It is the only large mountain park in Shanghai and covers 401 hectares of land.

Over the years, Sheshan National Tourist Resort has built many scenic spots such as Sheshan National Forest Park and Chenshan Botanical Garden, as well as amusement parks including Playa Maya Water Park, Shanghai Happy Valley and Moon Lake Sculpture Park.

Sheshan National Forest Park, which has been awarded the title of "National Civilized Forest Park", contains 12 mountains including Xiaosheshan, Phoenix Mountain, Xueshan Mountain and Tianma Mountain. The mountain range stretches 13 kilometers from southwest to northwest, forming a spectacular backdrop.

Chenshan Botanical Garden has introduced over 2,000 species of plants from all over China and the world. Every year in April and May, the garden hosts the Chenshan International Orchid Exhibition, Chinese Rose Exhibition, and an open-air music festival.

Additionally, there is a beautiful path lined with towering trees in both sides, which is a great place for jogging, walking and cycling.

There is also a huge range of leisure and entertainment facilities in the resort. The entertainment area, home to Playa Maya Water Park, Shanghai Happy Valley and Moon Lake Sculpture Park, provides adventure lovers a place to get their pulses racing.

You'll also find an eco-tourism area, home to East Sheshan, West Sheshan, Tianma Mountain and Little Kunshan.

The resort is home to two golf courses—Sheshan and Tianma—and other sports facilities including the Tianma Circuit.
