Miss World 2015 shines at Happy Valley

The 65th Miss World Shanghai Final, themed "Running World", concluded at the Happy Valley of Shanghai Sheshan National Tourist Resort, on Sept 20.

Twenty-five year old He Li, from the city of Nantong, Jiangsu province, stood out from 20 contestants and won the regional laurels. Zou Zhiyao from Guangdong, placed second, and Yang Yijie from Shanghai won the third place. They will participate in the final of Miss World 2015 to be held in Sanya, South China's Hainan province on Dec 19.

The Miss World pageant is the oldest surviving major international beauty pageant. It was created in the United Kingdom by Eric Morley in 1951. Alongside its traditional rival, the Miss Universe contest, the Miss World pageant is one of the two most recognized and publicized beauty contests in the world. It also boasts the largest number of participating countries.
