Shanghai Chenshan Botanic Garden will host a grassland music festival on May 16 and 17 that invite music fans to enjoy concerts, dances, sunshine and blossoms in the city's largest botanic garden.

The FM 94.7 Music Festival features two large symphony concerts, four small-scale performances by artists from China’s ethnic minorities, and an exhibition of Chinese roses.

The symphony orchestra and chorus from Shanghai Opera House will perform domestic and foreign masterpieces such as the Yellow River Cantata and the Ode to Joy.

The other much-anticipated concert will be played by the world renowned German Bamberg Symphony Orchestra, with conductor Jonathan Nott and cellist Mischa Maisky cooperating to present audiences an acoustic feast.
