Shanghai resort popular during New Year

The Sheshan National Tourist Resort, in the city of Shanghai's Songjiang district, saw a real boom in business for the New Year holiday, Jan 1-3, with around 82,000 visitors, for a year-on-year growth of more than 172 percent and achieved revenues of 3-million yuan ($48 million), for year-on-year growth of more than 276 percent.

Sheshan National Forest Park had 54,300 tourists, Shanghai Happy Valley, 20,600, with revenues of almost 3-million yuan ($450,427), and Shanghai Chenshan Botanical Garden, 6,800 guests, and 163,300 yuan ($26,274).
