Now that the college entrance exam is past, high school grads can finally go enjoy themselves and Shanghai Happy Valley has had some special offers for the students. If they show a college entrance exam admission card together with an ID, they get a 50-percent discount on a number of things at the Maya Water Park, which opens in July and is a good choice for the hot summer.
Those who are bold enough won't want to miss the four roller coasters -- Wooden coaster-fireball, Twin-Tower Heroes, Diving Coaster, or Mega-Lite. Or for something a little lighter and better suited to the hot summer, there's Canyon Rafting, Frog Warship, or Whitewater Canoe, and you can take a break from the excitement with some refreshments.
Then, there's a carnival, June 29 to Aug 25, at Shanghai Happy Valley, where tourists can able to enjoy a European-style carnival, South American samba performance, and a 'Cos-idol' contest. Oh, and don't forget the many types of delicacies – a Shanghai traditional popsicle, Japanese-style ice cream, German sausages, and Brazilian barbecue.
