Shanghai Happy Valley offered female visitors tickets for only 100 yuan ($16) as a discount for Women's Day from March 8 to 10.
Women awarded with municipal March 8th Red-banner pace-setter（an award given to outstanding women on Mar 8th every year by the municipal government） and above can enter the valley free of charge on March 8 with their valid certificate and ID.
The flowers in Happy Valley blossom during this time period. Visitors can not only stroll and enjoy the beauty of the flowers. They can also immerse themselves in the serenity of the lake by taking a cruise.
Various activities will be held to bring happiness to female visitors. The first 1,000 female visitors each day will get CHCEDO(a Chinese make-up brand) tryouts as prizes. Floats are specially prepared for the women to fire their passion.
The biggest local pillow fight will also help guests relieve pressures at work. During the same period, any female visitor who posts visiting photos on their microblog and @ Shanghai Happy Valley's official account will get the chance to be selected as a "smiling beauty". Those selected will be able to visit Happy Valley's soon-to-open water park for free on a given day.
In all the rides and other types of amusements, every day a drawing will select 20 female visitors to receive a photo made using a high-speed camera.
