The Chenshan Autumn Flower Show 2012 attracted numerous tourists to Shanghai Chenshan Botanical Garden. In the garden, more than 200,000 strains of sunflowers were available to harvest. The garden allowed citizens to appreciate and pick sunflowers free of charge.

The picking activity opened to the public starting on Double Ninth Festival on Oct 23 and lasting until Nov 4. The activity started at 10 am every day

The activity required registration in advance. Tourists were able to sign up in the Tourist Center for a full-price ticket (a child under 1.3 meters had to be accompanied by an adult) to pick sunflowers that same day.
