Children's Daily Issue 7577 published a full page displaying some winning works from the painting competition entitled Thousands of Youths Describing Chenshan.

The winning works were mostly painted by 6- or 7-year-old pupils. Some of them came from ethnic minorities in the Inner Mongolia and Xinjiang autonomous regions. Under the guidance of Chenshan Botanical Garden and teachers, they children participated in the activity by describing vivid landscapes.

The quality of the paintings not only showed the children's understanding of Chenshan, but expressed their unique love of plants and nature. Chenshan has rich plant landscapes that were inspirational to the children.

The full-page publication of winning paintings in Children's Daily also marked the successful culmination of the competition. The painting activity began officially on April 21 and ended in early June. Altogether thousands of children visited Chenshan during the activity.
