Shanghai Chenshan Botanical Garden has recently welcomed small animals to their facilities. The animals played an important role in the Chenshan Autumn Flower Show.

It is the first time that Chenshan Botanical Garden and the Shanghai Zoo have jointly exhibited plants and animals. Black swans, white swans and mandarin ducks were placed in the pool near the Aquatic Garden. Two lizards were housed in the conservatory. In the Rock Herb Garden, miniature pigs, alpacas and peacocks were introduced. The plants and animals helped create a harmonious image in Chenshan.

Goats, alpacas and miniature pigs are gentle and kind. The keepers help the children interact with the animals. The children like the animals and are allowed to feed them. It provides a good opportunity for children to get closer to nature.
