The 2012 service competition, held among tourism industry employees in the Songjiang district of Shanghai, took place on June 28, and was organized by the Songjiang business tourism committee, Songjiang Federation of Trade Unions, the Communist Youth League Songjiang (Shanghai) committee, and the Songjiang Women`s Federation.
More than 80 competitors from 40 corporations, scenic spots and travel agencies took part in the contests at the meeting room of Xueyuan Hotel in Songjiang.
In the tour guide contest, all the competitors competed in a number of areas, including self-introduction, scenic spot commendation, and the ability to play according to a score. Wang Yunjie, a guide in the Chenshan Botanical Garden won the first prize after the finals held in front of five expert judges.
