Chenshan Botanical Garden ready for Dragon Boat Festival

Chenshan Botanical Garden is going to host a series of special events celebrating the Chinese Dragon Boat Festival on June 23.

During the 2-day holiday from June 22 to June 23, Chenshan Botanical Garden is going have many visitors participating in the "painting on leaves" and "painting on salted duck eggs by hand" activity.

The botanical garden is hoping to demonstrate the festival’s history and holiday plants to visitors in an unexpected way. It also is giving away limited edition zongzi wrapped in calamus.

As one of the most significant festivals in China, the Dragon Boat Festival, also known as the Duanwu Festival and the Double Fifth, is a statutory holiday where the family members gather together to celebrate.

It is also a holiday that has become closely associated with plants since people hang artemisia and calamus plants in their houses for the festival. Chenshan Botanical Garden has organized a range of activities with the aim of providing visitors with an unforgettable holiday.
