Integration of culture, tourism boosts Tai'an's growth

In the first three quarters of this year, Tai'an received 73.12 million domestic tourists, achieving tourism revenue of 74.43 billion yuan ($10.2 billion), year-on-year increases of 11.56 percent and 13.63 percent, respectively, according to local authorities.
In recent years, Tai'an has been vigorously promoting the integration of culture and tourism as one of its six key tasks. The city has promoted the iterative updating of cultural and tourism products, formats, and models and further enhanced the quality and efficiency of development.
Since 2023, Tai'an has focused on cultivating a cultural and tourism brand centering on Mount Tai and promoting the integrated development of Mount Tai and holistic tourism. The city has also formulated a five-year action plan (2023-27) to boost the integration of its culture and tourism.
Since last year, Tai'an has successively introduced an array of supportive measures to promote the recovery and revitalization of cultural and tourism consumption, which include initiatives such as conducting cultural and tourism benefit seasons for the public, implementing actions to reduce scenic spot ticket prices, and carrying out actions to support and warm up enterprises in the cultural and tourism industry, all of which have comprehensively promoted the recovery and revitalization of the cultural and tourism consumption market.
