A coming-of-age ceremony for high school students from Taiwan was held at Daguan Peak on Mount Tai in Tai'an on July 8.
Led by the host, the students loudly recited the coming-of-age ode during the ceremony.
The ceremony seamlessly integrated traditional Chinese culture with the culture of Mount Tai, including processes such as wearing commemorative scarves, taking oaths, receiving certificates, and signing their names.
After the ceremony, teachers and students took group photos and toured the summit, discussing their future plans.
After descending Mount Tai, the group of teachers and students from Taiwan also visited Dai Temple. Guided by a tour guide, they learned about the temple's rich history, further strengthening their sense of belonging to the Chinese nation.
Since it launched the coming-of-age ceremony on Mount Tai in 2008, nearly a thousand young students from Taiwan have visited Tai'an to climb the mountain, experience ancient rites, and feel the charm of traditional Chinese culture and the familial bond of the Chinese nation in person.
The ceremony has become an important platform and a symbol for enhancing exchanges between Tai'an and Taiwan. It is highly popular among young people on both sides of the Taiwan Strait and has been repeatedly recognized by the Taiwan Affairs Office of the State Council as an excellent national exchange program with Taiwan.
