Tai'an had a joyful and harmonious Chinese New Year holiday from Feb 10 to 17. It offered a rich array of culture and tourism activities featuring intangible cultural heritage items, traditional Chinese styles, and delicacies.

As a result, its Mount Tai Scenic Area welcomed 406,900 visitors, generating ticket revenue of 38.25 million yuan ($5.32 million) over the holiday. The three cableways in the scenic area transported 378,900 tourists.

Along the mountain climbing routes, over 2,800 various types of lights and 60 meters of light strips were installed, allowing people to climb without using flashlights. Additionally, the scenic area provided carefully designed blessing packages for visitors free of charge.

In addition to Mount Tai Scenic Area, every county, district, functional area, and tourist attraction in Tai'an launched their own unique cultural and tourism activities, creating a rich holiday atmosphere.

Tai'an has planned 72 Chinese New Year events, including traditional events like lantern festivals, garden tours, and temple fairs, and modern events like electronic music festivals, winter sports, and family fruit-picking activities. Three winter tourism routes were also introduced, covering attractions such as Mount Tai, Dai Temple, Dongping Dasong Everbright Town, and Shigandang Cultural Park.

The vibrant culture and tourism consumption market led to a sharp increase in consumer traffic to commercial areas, restaurants, and accommodations in Tai'an during the holiday.

Additionally, consumption over the Chinese New Year holiday in Tai'an demonstrated a trend towards diversification and growth, with traditional activities such as attending temple fairs being complemented by new trends, such as attending performances and watching movies.
