Tai'an village's jujube cultivation contributes to rural vitalization
Residents of Nanbailou village, Xiazhang town, Daiyue district, Tai'an, have recently been busy leveling the land, digging holes, transplanting, and watering to create the proper conditions for the large-scale cultivation of jujubes.
In winter, jujube trees may appear dry and small, but when summer arrives, they will become lush with branches and full of fruit.
In recent years, Nanbailou village has been focusing on clearing and transforming its barren mountains and wasteland. Jujube farmers have taken advantage of the cold resistance, drought resistance, windbreak, and sand-fixing abilities of jujube trees and the unique local geographical and climatic conditions.
Jujube trees currently cover an area of 4 hectares in Nanbailou village. Maximum output is expected to be valued at over 200,000 yuan ($28,003.11), driving the collective economic development of the village, increasing villagers' incomes, and contributing to rural vitalization.
