A launch event for 13 projects launched in the third quarter of this year was held in a modern food industrial pakr in Taishan district, Tai'an on Oct 26.

These 13 projects cover six industries, including modern food and digital economy, and have a combined investment of 8.53 billion yuan ($1.17 billion).

The modern food industrial park received 959 million yuan in investment for its first phase and is now aiming to become a comprehensive industrial system that integrates production and processing, scientific research and development, fresh product warehousing, and logistics distribution.

Once completed, the industrial park will generate more than 1,500 jobs and have an annual production of 39 million meals, and an annual comprehensive operating income of 780 million yuan.
