An outdoor marriage registration ceremony was held for 12 couples in Shandong province at the peak of Mount Tai in Tai'an on Aug 21, one day before Qixi Festival, which is also known as Chinese Valentine's Day. 

"It's wonderful! We can not only get our marriage certificate, but also enjoy the breathtaking scenery atop Mount Tai. It is a truly meaningful experience," said a newlywed. 

The event was supported by authorities including the Shandong Provincial Department of Civil Affairs, and the Shandong Provincial Department of Culture and Tourism.
