A coming-of-age ceremony for young people from Taiwan was held in Mount Tai Scenic Area in Tai'an on Aug 1.

Taiwan youth made an oath and received ceremony certificates during the ceremony.

Tai'an has been organizing the coming-of-age ceremony for Taiwan youth for over 10 years. The event has attracted nearly 1,000 Taiwan youth to climb the Mount Tai and experience the charm of traditional Chinese culture, according to officials from the Taiwan affairs office of Tai'an municipal government.

The event has become an important platform for boosting communication and exchanges between Tai'an and Taiwan.
