Nine international students from the Tai'an campus of Shandong First Medical University recently picked fruits and fed animals in Daiyue district.

The students visited a black peach planting base located in Beizhang village in Daolang town of the Daiyue district, where they picked and tasted the fruit.

Black peaches are a specialty of Daolang town. Long-term consumption of the fruit is said to help with digestion and lower blood pressure.

The students said they were impressed by the taste of the peaches.

They also fed animals like camels, lambs, and rabbits during the visit.

"This place is so beautiful, the rural area is very clean, the air is fresh, the orchard is large, and the peaches grown here are also very delicious," said a Pakistani student.

Daolang town has been working hard in recent years to develop its village-level characteristic economy. The town now has 13.33 hectares of land that generates an annual output of 300 metric tons of black peaches.
