Tai'an boosts tourism during May Day holiday

From April 29 to May 3, a total of 20 tourist attractions, including Grade-A tourist attractions in Tai'an, new business tourist attractions, rural tourist attractions and Red tourist attractions, received 1.47 million tourists, surging 494.69 percent year-on-year. The operating revenue was 62.05 million yuan ($8.98 million), a year-on-year increase of 780.28 percent.

Among the tourist attractions in Tai'an, Mount Tai Scenic Area (including Mount Tai and Dai Temple) received 332,800 tourists, a year-on-year increase of 2,883.82 percent.

Tai'an has launched 104 tourism activities and 107 cultural activities ahead of this year's May Day holiday, which concluded on May 3.

Mount Tai New Youth Music Festival was held at Fantawild adventure theme park from May 2 to 3, with 16 bands presenting amazing performances for nearly 40,000 people. Furthermore, Dawenkou Ancient Town held the first small drama festival, and held nine major activities including the ancient town creative market and the calligraphy and painting association. In addition, the Dai Temple Intangible Cultural Heritage Temple Fair was held grandly at Daibei Square and attracted crowds of visitors.

To provide better parking services for visitors, Tai'an has set 14 temporary parking sections on roads, which provide about 1,200 parking spaces for small vehicles and about 300 parking spaces for tour buses, and built two temporary parking lots, which can provide 280 parking spaces for small vehicles. In addition, 62 parking lots at government agencies and institutions were open to the public for free during the holiday to provide 4,914 parking spaces for small vehicles.
