Han culture festival to enliven Tai'an

The Mount Tai Han Culture Festival is scheduled to be held from April 30 to May 1 at Dai Temple in Tai'an, Shandong province and will showcase different elements of Han culture.
During the festival, the Hanfu (traditional Chinese clothing) Model Competition will be held on April 30 in front of Tiankuang Hall at Dai Temple. Winners of the competition will become spokesperson for the festival and shoot high-quality videos for promoting Han culture.
In addition, a Han culture parade will kick off on May 1 at Dai Temple with performers wearing costumes featuring Han cultural characteristics of Shandong.
During the festival, visitors can enjoy various traditional games, such as chuiwan, a ball game that is best described as a mix of gate ball and golf, as well as other games like archery and throwing a pot.
Visitors also have a wide range of hanfu, accessories, calligraphy artworks and intangible cultural heritage items to select from at an open-air market featuring traditional culture, and they can try interactive activities like making handicraft items or makeup during the festival.
