An opening ceremony for 2023 Tourism Year, which is themed on "Enjoying life in Shandong" (Tai'an), was held at Fanta Wild in Tai'an on April 25.

For this year's tourism Tai'an plans to organize 104 tourism events and 107 cultural events in order to boost consumption in both fields.

The tourism events include weekly overseas travel agent promotions, a starry night music festival at Fanta Wild during the May Day holiday, peach related events in Feicehng in autumn, and the Dongping Lake food season, while the cultural events include recitation competitions, cultural performances, and square dance competitions, all aimed at enriching people's cultural lives.

Three three-day tour routes integrating cultural tourism with academic research, transportation, and ecology, as well as a two-day tour route consisting of cultural tourism and industry were introduced and promoted at the opening ceremony.

A series of celebration activities for Tai'an's Fanta Wild's 13th anniversary were launched, which were also major products of Taishan district for the approaching May Day holiday.

In recent years, Tai'an has been beefing up efforts to cultivate cultural tourism resources based on Mount Tai, according to officials from the municipal bureau of culture and tourism.
