The Dawenkou Site Museum in Tai'an, Shandong province, reopened to the public on Feb 14, and is open from 9 am to 4 pm every Tuesday to Sunday.

Located near the Dawen River and having a construction area of 2,600 square meters, the museum displays over 200 cultural relics such as stone tools, jade, and excavated skeletons on-site.

Through technologies like scene restoration and multimedia, the museum showcases the history of the Dawenkou Site, introduces the site's excavation findings and values of Dawenkou culture (6500-4500 BC), and reproduces the ancient life and folk customs in the Dawen River Basin.

The Dawenkou Site was the regional center of the late Neolithic period in the lower Yellow River region, and for over 60 years, the site has been kept under complete, scientific and efficient protection.
