On Feb 14, Tai'an held a launch ceremony for its projects to commence in the first quarter of 2023, which was a parallel event of Shandong province's high-quality project promotional event.

Zhong Chu Guo Neng (Beijing) Technology Co invested 1.5 billion yuan ($219.13 million) in the 300MW Salt Cave Advanced Compressed Air Energy Storage Demonstration Project, which was launched at the event.

As one of the major energy storage projects in Tai'an, the project covers about 6.67 hectares and is expected to generate 594 million kWh annually.

In 2023, Tai'an has a total of 709 provincial, municipal and county-level planned projects worth 430.59 billion yuan. Fifty-seven of them, which are worth 33.5 billion yuan, were launched at the event.

Other major projects, such as a high-grade fabric production base project in Taishan district, a heavy industry intelligent equipment industrial park project in Daiyue district, and a new building materials industrial park project in Dongping county, were commenced at the event's sub-venues on the same day.
