Taishan blessing steamed buns add festive flavor to Spring Festival

The Taishan blessing Ximomo, or steamed bun, is one of Tai'an's intangible cultural heritage items.

Different from ordinary buns, the Ximomo is colored with pollen from edible flowers, and contains milk, honey, and egg whites to make them soft and fragrant.

As the Spring Festival, which is the Year of the Rabbit, approaches, Ximomos are being made into rabbit shapes in Tai'an.
