Best hot springs in Tai'an for winter

As the cold winter approaches, so then does the season to enjoy a hot spring bath to warm up the body. Tai'an in East China's Shandong province has a number of hot spring resorts for visitors to enjoy themselves in winter.

1. Mount Tai Hot Spring City

With a total investment of 2.6 billion yuan ($376.84 million) and covering an area of 1,360 mu (90.67 hectares), Mount Tai Hot Spring City is a national 4A-level hot spring-themed scenic spot located at the Culai Mountain National Forest Park.

The thermal spring water of the resort has a temperature of around 50 C and a maximum daily water yield of 3,000 cubic meters. It is rich in more than 30 kinds of trace elements and minerals beneficial to the human body, including fluorine, bromine, sodium, sulfur, iodine, strontium, lithium, metaboric acid, metasilicic acid, and phosphoric acid, with its water quality better than the latest national standard for drinking mineral water.

Construction of an open-air hot spring area up in the mountain, which includes more than 60 hot-spring pools for Chinese herbal baths, an indoor swimming pool, a spa, and a wave pool, as well as over 30 separate houses or yards in different furnishing styles for a family hot spring bath have been completed. It is set to have a maximum daily capacity of more than 10,000 people.

There is also a five-star hotel in the resort, which has 800 rooms and 60 dining halls.
