Xin Qiji enjoys close and consolidated relations with Mount Tai and his fantastic poems and great life events are all with Mount Tai and Tai'an (where the mount stands).

Xin studied together with Dang Huaiying, a classmate born in Tai'an, and learned from Cai Songnian and Liu Zhan. The four talented poets were regarded as "Xin Group".

 Xin visited Mount Tai with Dang and told the story of Heavenly Drums in Dai Temple on the mountain. He defected to Geng Jing in Tai'an and started to fight against alien invasion under Geng's leadership.
