The 2015 Mount Tai International Marathon took place in the Tai'an city, Shandong province, on Oct 18, with a total of 15,658 people attended, including several hundred marathoners from 18 countries and regions, and with male and female sections, each for a full marathon, as well as half-marathons and mini-marathon.

According to the organizing committee, world class marathon athletes from 18 countries and regions including German, France, Korea, Japan, Ireland, Malaysia, Kenya, Angola, Albania, New Zealand, and Greece, 30 provinces and autonomous regions in China as well as those who come from Taiwan, Hong Kong and Macao took part in the event.

The competition started from the Mount Tai International Convention Center and went along Taishan Rd and West Huanshan Rd, then Huanshan Rd, Huanhu Rd, providing some beautiful Mount Tai scenery, and Taishan St, which connects Tai'an's Taishan and Daiyue districts. So, the participants can enjoy the challenges of a marathon, and the scenery of the path.
