In 2025, Qingdao West Coast New Area kicked off its exhibition season with a strong start, hosting over 20 events in the first quarter alone. These events attracted 470,000 visitors and drove approximately 700 million yuan (approximately $97 million) in spending, earning the area the title of ''China's High-Quality Exhibition Economy Development Zone''.

Major exhibitions that started this month have been making waves. Highlights include the 22nd Qingdao International Furniture Fair, drawing 177,000 visitors, and the China Animal Husbandry Expo, set to host over 1,500 companies and 230,000 attendees. Also upcoming are the China Education Equipment Exhibition, Pharmaceutical Machinery Expo, and Asia-Pacific Rubber and Plastics Exhibition, all expected to bring in hundreds of thousands of visitors.

This boom is powered by top-tier infrastructure like the Qingdao Cosmopolitan Exposition, over 30 brand hotels, and enhanced transport links including a direct shuttle from Qingdao Jiaodong International Airport. Backed by a robust five-in-one exhibition promotion mechanism and favorable government policies, the area has become a magnet for high-profile events.
