This year, Qingdao airport in Shandong is focusing on the needs of international travelers, improving service quality, to promote tourism and cultural exchange between Qingdao and the international community.

Qingdao airport has streamlined and optimized over 340 signage locations around key travel processes such as check-in, security screening, and customs clearance. Adhering to international design standards and incorporating guidance in multiple languages including Chinese, English, Japanese, and Korean, the airport has significantly improved the clearance efficiency and travel experience for international passengers, especially those from Japan and South Korea.

To better serve international passengers, particularly independent travelers from Japan or South Korea, Qingdao airport has developed a "Passenger Guide" in Chinese, English, Japanese, and Korean languages that offer more convenience to travelers.

With new international flights this year like Hangzhou-Qingdao-Sydney, London-Qingdao-Shenyang/Hangzhou, and Melbourne/Sydney-Qingdao-Shenyang, there's better connectivity to Seoul, Dubai, London, Melbourne, Sydney, and Moscow via Qingdao. As of Feb 22, the number of international transit passengers at Qingdao airport has reached 114,000, marking a 13 percent year-on-year increase.
