Blueberries bring sweet success to Qingdao farmers
Summer is in full swing, and so is harvest season for blueberries in Tianjiayao village, Wangtai subdistrict, Qingdao West Coast New Area (Qingdao WCNA).
Tianjiayao village is renowned as Qingdao's home of blueberries, with blueberries being cultivated on over 540 mu (36 hectares) of plantations as well as in more than 310 solar greenhouses and more than 30 plastic hoop greenhouses.
Leveraging its favorable natural conditions, the village has developed its blueberry industry and combined it with rural tourism to attract visitors for fruit-picking experiences.
