The coastal city of Qingdao in East China's Shandong province held a promotional event in its sister city of Regensburg, Germany on May 10 (local time), aiming to give locals a better understanding of Qingdao, as well as to expand Qingdao's influence in the German city.
During the event, attendees jointly watched the prepared promotional video on Qingdao and gained a basic understanding of Qingdao in terms of its geographical location, history, cultural heritage, economic development, and educational level. They also appreciated the modern international metropolis' unique charm and beautiful scenery, including its red-tiled buildings, green trees, and blue seas and skies.

The head of the cultural department of Regensburg said that since the establishment of sister-city ties between the two cities in 2009, their connections in various fields such as economy and culture have gradually strengthened, laying a solid foundation for mutual understanding between residents of both cities. He also expressed hopes of personally visiting Qingdao in the future.
