The Belgian national treasure comic Marsupilami is being showcased at The Sablon, which is located at No 21 Taipingjiao Road in Shinan district, Qingdao in April.

The Sablon, in collaboration with the Wallonia-Brussels International, has prepared a rich array of on-site activities, including performances, crafts, and outdoor sketching.

The unique European-style villa courtyard of The Sablon was the former site of the Belgian consulate, built in 1931 with a simple pitched roof brick and wood structure, two stories high, with a building area of 221 square meters.

The building officially opened to the public on Oct 31, 2017, and later became The Sablon, a Belgian culture experience hall. With its European-style architecture and coastal scenery, the building has become a unique attraction along Taiping Bay.
